Sensex, Nifty close fresh record high; PNB gains by 5%

Nifty and Sensex ended trade on a positive note on Friday due to strong gains in Bank stocks. BSE Sensex closed higher by 112.34 points at 33,685.56, while the NSE Nifty50 rose 28.70 points to 10,452.50. Punjab National Bank led the banking sector by gaining about 5 percent. In the other gainers, it includes SBI Bank, Tata Motors, L&T, ONGC and Indusland, whereas Sun Pharma, Power Grid, Coal India, BPCL, and GAIL lost sheen on NSE. Closing Update- Indices settled higher as renewed buying was seen on the exchanges today, 30 Oct 2017. The BSE Sensex rose 108.94 points or 0.33% to 33,266.16. The Nifty 50 index rose 40.60 points or 0.39% to 10,363.70. There were 1,696 advances against a decline of 1,032 shares, with 148 shares unchanged, indicating positive breadth floating in the market. Reliance market-capitalization gets to Rs 6 lakh cr

Reliance Industries Limited’s (RIL) market capitalization is fast inching near to Rs.6.00 lakh crore marks, buoyed by a rally in its share price. At the close of trade Tuesday, the company’s market valuation stood at Rs 5,94,078.91 crore, which is just Rs. 5,921.09 crore less than Rs 6.00 crore mark. Reliance’s market capitalization jumped by Rs. 17,595.91 crore to Rs 5,94,078.91 crore. Shares of the company surged by 3.05 percent to close at Rs 938.10 on the BSE. During the day, it rose 3.63% to Rs. 943.45, keeping its 52 week high.
